What is the best bait to use for trout fishing?

So I was surfing on the net looking at and researching trout fishing and like you would expect there were 1001 questions on what is the best bait for trout fishing.

I can help but to think about Bruce Lee,

Why? You ask. Well because, He didn’t believe in a particular style of fighting but rather he emphasized that the conditions and situations that you are in dictate how you fight.

You might have a mean headbutt but you wouldn’t implant a headbutt if your enemy is far away, the situation dictates that you should kick or use another long-range weapon.

Don’t worry, I’m not violent I’m just making an analogy :-)

The same goes for anything and everything including trout fishing. So you should let the conditions that you are in dictate what kind of bait you will use to catch that trout.

There’s so many things to think about including – weather, type of trout, wade fishing, boat fishing, water conditions, geographic location etc….

This being the case I want to change the topic from the best bait to my favorite bait, here you go:

Worms - yup, live ones or synthetic ones, I don’t care what kind of worm you use. These little suckers are great to catch trout. Just rig them onto your gang looks and start fishing.

Spinners - some of you love them and some of you hate them, generally you should choose the itty-bitty ones but if you’re going after monstrous trout then you might want to get the bigger spinners.

Don’t forget to experiment with different colors and sizes.

Salmon Eggs - these are awesome for catching rainbow trout on those gentle streams or rivers, just let them hang on your gang hooks so they flow naturally with the current.

I hope you enjoyed this blurb about the best trout fishing bait, if you have any comments opinions or concerns or if you just want to chat -  please leave your comments below and share with this community.

Thank you and take care
